Five and half miles to the north lies Westerham where Sir
Winston Chuchills Home Chartwell is situated and only a
little further away are the historic towns of Royal Tonbridge
Wells and Tombridge, with historic Hever Castle only 3 Miles
to the south east of Edenbridge.
The high street which boast many timber framed houses dating
from the middle ages was originally part of the Roman road
from London to Lewes.
The
town has a wide variety of facilities including an extensive
range of schools, shops, and entertainment facilities not
to mention golf clubs at Edenbridge, Hever and Linpsfield.
Not forgetting Edenbridge Leisure centre which has it own
swimming pool and mini indoor sports.
There
is easy access to the m25 motorway which provides a convenient
route around London giving access to both Gatwick and Heathrow
Airports. Excellent buss services link Edenbridge with all
the surrounding towns and villages.
The
town is served by two railway stations with regular services
to London bridge and Victoria and also running to uckfield
and reading.
